Mr. H from Bronx NY is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need new robots to supplement the robotics program I created, and to participate in a new nationwide robotics competition!

Wait, a four-part trilogy? There hasn't been any such thing, until now.... Our previous three "Robot Invasion" projects helped us to take STEM education to bold new frontiers. Help us on our biggest robotic adventure yet!
Our students are a terrific, diverse group of kids who aren't financially wealthy, but who do possess an incredible abundance of spirit and curiosity!
Our school is a public school in the north Bronx and is part of the Co-Op City community, an extensive and affordable housing development, but we also help kids from other parts of the Bronx and Manhattan as well. Our school is small with about 1,000 kids total, but what we lack in size we compensate for in perseverance and community. We maintain close ties with our Co-Op City neighbors, including our local library branch and most recently the good folks in charge of the public gardens. We're hoping to share our DonorsChoose project not just with students at our school, but with some of our Co-Op City pals as well.
These robots will benefit a multitude of children across our school and Co-Op City! I plan on not only using the Dash and Dot Educator Pack in my robotics club, but to help advance a special K-2 level robot program as well. The robots will also be on loan to all teachers to help enhance literacy and mathematics. Students will improve literacy skills by reading about robots as part of an accompanying lesson plan, and they will learn mathematics through programming them. We also plan on sharing our robots with the local branch of the public library by holding a special workshop for children in neighboring schools to attend there, and we have recently partnered with a school for autistic students to teach robotics there as well.
Your donation will help provide an exciting experience not just for our kids, but for kids in other schools and in our community!
You'll also help us to enter our school in a nationwide robotics competition that requires the use of these specific robots, further inspiring the next generation of thinkers, makers and engineers. Help us to build the future today... one robot at a time!
