My Students

We are technology challenged! Please help us! We still have a camera that uses film. Our one and only digital camera is so old there is no replacement for the memory card that is lost.

Our kids are tremendous.

They are excited about learning and love to read. They care about one another and are always willing to help each other through challenges and problems. They amaze me every day with their creativity, thoughtfulness and kindness.

My Project

As the school librarian and technology instructor, I get to share great books and writing projects with my ambitious, creative and active students. At our school, we don't have a lot of money for technology. Digital cameras will allow us to pair up, digitally record school events and write about what is going on at our school. Digital technology highly motivates students to create, reflect and write about the world around us.

This project will be ongoing and continue throughout the year.

It will impact hundreds of students monthly as we gather digital images and create articles, stories, poetry and books around the pictures we take. We will learn about downloading, editing images and saving in our files. It will make a huge impact on the activities and projects we complete during our library/technology time together.
