This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarteners have to learn how to read before they leave to go to first grade (different than when you and I went). Please feel empowered to know you will be helping 21 kindergarteners in an impoverished area, how to read. Thank you so much for making a difference in this world.

These kindergarteners are so special.

They all come from very impoverished backgrounds, but are the smartest kids on the block. We do not have a PTA fund with extra money and in California there is a severe budget cut to our schools. We need supplies and books desperately for this year and the next. These books on folk tales and fairy tales will give a huge love for reading! I will be able to read to them from our own personal library collection, that you helped create! Books are magical and transcend learning into a motivational tool.

My Project

My students need folk and fairy tale books. I cannot afford to buy such a books for my class, nor can my school. With the outdated classrooms and no books at all, these wonderful books will be a welcome to my room and the kindergarteners will thank you too!! Thank you so much for giving your time or donation even if it is 10 dollars. We need altruistic people like you in our schools! This will be very powerful for my kindergarten classroom. Learning to read through folk tales and fairy tale ignites an interest in reading. Most of my students come in not knowing any fairy tales or folk tales. I love to read all sorts of stories to them, and with you help we will have all the books in our room. We are asking for folk and fairy tale books, some books come with puppets ( how exciting!!).

Books give such a gift to a child learning how to read.

We desperately need your help funding these books for this year. Please know that these books will give these children such a boost in reading and a beautiful gift to a high poverty classroom. Thank you again for your kind thought and donation. With love and gratitude from the best little kindergarten class in Northern California.
