My Students

First graders are excited to develop reading skills with the use of fun and engaging literacy resources!

I have 21 students this school year at various reading levels.

Appropriate, independent learning stations are necessary to build a classroom of strong readers! Self-guided practice is essential to develop a reader, and this project will help me establish a classroom of confident readers. A confident child is a happy reader in my classroom!

My Project

The ready-to-use centers make independent learning a breeze—even for nonreaders! The Language and Vocabulary centers have everything children need to build beginning language skills—from word building and rhyming sounds to sight-word recognition. Each center is designed for up to 4 children to work at once, with a double-sided instruction chart that gives everyone easy access to the activities.

Students will develop skills in rhyming sounds, beginning sounds, story sequencing, building words, syllable counting, sight-words and simple sentences.

Students will also identify synonyms, decode context clues & more…with self-guided activities they can complete on their own! Reading skills will explode in our classroom with the use of these materials!
