Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine wanting to read a book at home, but not having any books to read. My students are in that situation.

My students are kids who love to read.

However, they do not have enough books to read at home. When they are at school, they show such desire and passion for reading. But they are unable to fulfill that desire at home because of the lack of books at home.

My Project

With this project, I will be able to create book bags for my students to take home. These book bags will include high interest books along with books that are at their independent reading level. My students will learn to become strong, enthusiastic readers from being able to read at school and at home.

Donations to this project will provide my students with books to read not only at school, but also at home.

Growing as a strong reader does not only happen at school, it needs to continue when they are at home.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
