Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Thanks to the generosity of people just like you, our classroom has an LCD projector. In order to properly use it and secure it, to prevent it from walking away, we need the hardware to mount it to our ceiling and the speakers to hear the sound.
Our student body is very diverse.
We have military kids, International Baccalaureate students, AVID students, students of all levels of learning, students from many walks of life, however the majority of the students have one thing that pulls them all together; they come from economically disadvantaged homes.
Our school works hard to promote learning across the board. Our students have risen to meet these demands. The only thing they have asked of us it to not just stand there and lecture. To make the lessons as entertaining as well as educational.
My Project
Having the technology in the room to grab and hold their attention is wonderful. Being able to properly use it will be wonderful. Having the technology at our disposal, instantly, because of it being mounted will make lessons more meaningful and transitions run smooth. All of this impacts the students education. It currently doesn't have the proper mounting, thus quality suffers.
Having the ability to properly use and secure the technology that we have been given will allow us to keep it in proper, safe, working condition for years to come.
These materials will maximize the opportunities to use this new technology, thus maximizing the students learning.
