Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The technology exists to let us share student work, easily using projectors and cameras. With a document camera, students can teach each other by sharing their work with the whole class.

My students are earnest and want to learn.

But they come from an inner city urban school with a lot of issues. They are good kids, whose environment can make life difficult. We can help make up for some of the disparities by making sure their classroom has this readily available technology. They need every edge they can get to succeed in this increasingly competitive world.

My Project

With an LCD projector, a teacher can put together vivid multi-media presentations. But students can't share their work, and so the presentation becomes one-way. A document camera changes this. Students can share their work with the class, teaching each other. Now the presentation becomes 2-way, and inclusive.

We live in a high-tech world.

But this technology is not universally distributed. Not everyone gets what they need. This is your chance to even the disparities. Please, contribute to this project.
