Projecting A Bright Future With An Elmo

My students need an ELMO camera to use with our projector to help with editing, grammar, and critical analysis of texts.

My Students

This Elmo will tickle their writing bones! This tool will engage them in ways that the old technology can't. Help them love learning again by allowing them access to this hands-on tool.

I teach English at a fine arts high school in New York City.

My students are extremely creative and thrive on instruction that touches them artistically. They enjoy hands-on, interactive activities that allow them to showcase their special talents and bring literature to life. Unfortunately, with our recent financial crisis, our budget has been cut again and again. We are unable to provide our excellent students with the materials and resources they need to continue to succeed.

My Project

With access to an ELMO, my students will be able to learn how to take class notes and outline essays. They will be able to learn how to annotate texts like poetry. They will be able to teach each other how to fix grammar mistakes and how to edit a paper. The ELMO will also allow us to take screen shots of our work so that we can save it and go back to it later in lessons. Students will also be able to use the ELMO with any kind of text, including art without having to scan it into a computer. This will revolutionize how my kids will learn! Students will also be able use it with our projector for their own presentations. This is a great tool to engage students in their own learning process and allow them to be active participants in their own learning.

Please give my students the materials they need to succeed.

They will be able to do so much with an ELMO camera like analyzing visual images, annotating text, editing essays, taking notes, and presenting their own ideas to the class. Please empower my students in their own learning. Help them succeed by not only fostering their education process but also giving them experience with the latest technology. This will help them compete in a technologically savvy world.
