Your battery is low, you need to recharge. Easy enough right? Not if you are in a classroom where all of the plugs are on one side of the room and you are in the last seat on the other side of the room. This issue faces my students every time we use individual devices in our classroom.
My students are enthusiastic tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders, who, despite their age, enjoy hands-on activities, showing off their work, and using technology to create professional looking graphics and reports.
They come from a variety of backgrounds. We have military students, special education students, honors students, AVID students, and students from very diverse cultures. One thing they all have in common is that they love to feel as if their work is as valued as if they were already in a profession.
My Project
Having access to technology is a wonderful thing in the classroom. When we have the technology in the room we utilize it. We begin running into problems when the batteries begin running low and there are not enough outlets close to every student. We are in need of access to these power outlets. These power strips will extend those power outlets far enough across the room that all students will have the ability to plug in.
Technology is a great thing, if you have access to it and the energy needed to power it.
We have access to the technology, but for only a limited time without the ability to keep it powered on. Please help us continue to be able to access the technology. Help prevent the loss of work from an unexpected battery drain by helping us get access to the power supply.
