Bill Gates stated, "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important." That is so true. It takes a teacher to provide for effective technology based lessons. I am a teacher who will lead them with productive lessons.
Moving forward is a constant in schools today.
It is a must! I have been in the classroom for more than 20 years now, most of which, are at the Pre K-5th grade school where I now work. Having a Windows 10 laptop and mouse would benefit my classroom so much! My 1st graders simply love using technology in our classroom, whether it lies with computers, our Promethean Board, cameras or other tools. I know having an upgraded Windows 10 laptop would be welcomed with open arms and used daily. We have over 500 wonderful students and we have awesome parental support in our community. I currently teach all subjects in 1st grade. I am proud that our school has worked hard to gain technology and hope we can continue to move forward with technology integration in our classrooms!
My Project
I am a huge advocate for technology in the classroom, but I agree with Albert Einstein's quote "The human spirit must prevail over technology." You can't replace that! Without a doubt, that spirit lies with our caring educators. In today's world, it takes a teacher who is willing to prepare students with productive technology-based curriculum lessons. Just having computers in a classroom doesn't cut it. They need guidance and powerful lessons. With that said, I know the importance of focusing on different student levels. I do that every day with the help of technology. My students work in computers centers daily. Some of which are old & have slowed down considerably. At this time, I could use a new laptop for my students. I'd love for my students to have a new laptop with 8 GBs of memory and one with no less than 1 TB hard drive. I truly believe in this equation! The "Power of TNT: Teacher+Networking+Technology = Student Learning!" Can you help bring technology to my students?
