My students are awesome!
My school is experiencing a shift in current demographics so we are trying to meet the needs of a new educational environment as well as work to accommodate growing numbers of students in classes. These students come to school every day, excited to learn and always work hard. They are focused on their own successes and want nothing more than to be better than they were the day before.
My Project
I am requesting 10 stability balls for my students who need to get rid of extra wiggles. This cuts down on the amount of time they spend out of their seats sharpening pencils, getting drinks, and distracting others. The more time they spend in the classroom, the more they learn!
I am also requesting iPads for small group center time. This tool offers assistance to students in all subjects. They can listen to stories via iTunes and use different math apps to help with basic math skills and test prep. Students can also use this tool to communicate with their teacher without causing a distraction. The cases will help my students use this tool for years to come!
This is a project I believe will directly relate to my students' success in fifth grade.
