This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

On days when going outside is not an option, our school does not have an adequate place to have PE classes. We have to stay in the classrooms, and, therefore, I need indoor PE equipment to provide my students with a variety of options for fitness.

My school's population has increased by 150 students since the previous school year.

As a result of this, I lost my PE room which was an over-sized classroom. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch, and it is in a very high poverty area of our city.

My Project

My students need 2 toss games, 3 bowling kits, foam noodles, and other indoor PE equipment so they have a variety of activities to do when unable to go outside because of weather. Our students will use the requested materials to learn different strategies for lifetime fitness. Hopefully, students can find at least a few activities that they love and that they will participate in outside of the school day. These materials will help my students stay active even though we don't have a lot of space.

Approximately forty-five percent of the population of my school is overweight or obese.

With donations to this project, students will be given a variety of fun options for fitness.
