My students need Fitness Dice, Yoga for PE DVD, Fit Kids DVD, FitDecks Exercise Playing Cards and more for Physical education. The teachers at our school also need more resources and ideas for teaching physical education.

My Students

Students always love to get out and move around! This is a challenge for teachers and students with a lack of resources to do so! Learning is a matter of the whole body's health and readiness, physical education has a key role in this process.

I work at a school of over 620 students.

They are a diverse group of students from the age of 5 to 12. We have lost funding for a full time physical education teacher. Currently, my students are only getting physical education from the part time teacher 30 minutes a week. The rest of the responsibility lands with the general education students. While we are all willing to educate the students we do not have the resources to do so in a very effective manner.

My Project

We need Fitness Dice, Yoga for PE DVD, Fit Kids DVD, FitDecks Exercise Playing Cards and more for Physical education. With these resources, 28 teachers will be able to better educate over 600 students in the world of physical education. With both the books with activity ideas and materials to do the activities, students can be out on the black top all afternoon moving their bodies and learning all the skills needed.

These materials will help me be a better teacher to my students.

It will help students get a deeper education about physical education. It will help with giving them a more well rounded knowledge about all the important physical skills needed.
