My students are active, curious learners who bound into the classroom every day with limitless energy and a gusto for learning.
Our school is a public school located in a high needs community that opened in the fall of 2009.
We are opening a pre-kindergarten class for the first time this year, in a school that is focused around safety, strength, and trust of all students and staff. Many students live in shelters and most receive a free or reduced price lunch each day. We are a community of dedicated teachers, committed to supporting our students in every aspect of their development.
My Project
In my classroom, we are SO excited for the weather to get warm again. We haven't been able to go outside for recess in a very long time because it has been extremely cold. In preparation for the warmer months, I wanted to add to our collection of outdoor toys. My students need scarves, balls, ribbons, and sand toys.
It is such a joy to watch my students play with each other outside.
With the addition of these materials, they'll have even more opportunities to enjoy one another and invent games.
