Every morning, we start the day off with a handshake, high five, or a hug, AND then it's "Okay, let's get ready to learn!". Many students are eager to learn, and with some, it takes coaching and showing them that learning can be fun.
My students come from all walks of life.
Our school is very diverse. Students have various strengths and learning modalities, but all come to schools for the same reason: to learn. We are a Title 1 school and the allotted funds prohibit the purchasing of tools that are sometimes needed - tools like a document camera.
My Project
Many of my students are visual and hands-on learners so finding engaging strategies to keep them involved can sometimes be a challenge. This document cameras would be a versatile classroom management tool because it would serve a multitude of purposes, not to mention cutting copying in half, saving paper and time.
The camera would be used everyday for bell work, assignments, the daily schedule, modeling of step-by-step procedures in math, reading, book sharing, story telling, writing projects, proper formation of letters and handwriting, science, etc. Having a document camera would be highly motivating and engage all learners.
This document camera would make a difference because it's so versatile and can be used in every subject, on a daily basis.
It would encourage student engagement, bring life to any lesson, and allow students to share information and knowledge.
