The Class of 2027 had a wonderful year, but the students were stuck at their tables all day. My students need a carpet and table for a more age-appropriate learning space. Help us out.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like to sit on the carpet during story time? My students do not yet have access to basic classroom supplies for our learning environment.
My students come from a range of backgrounds.
It's their diverse personalities and learning styles that keep our classroom unique. As a Title 1 school, 95% of my students receive free or reduced price lunch, and only 5 out of my 20 students will be able to afford school supplies this year. Their brilliance shouldn't be dimmed by their access to resources or learning tools.
My Project
With a kidney table in the back, our reading groups will come to life. We can interact with each other, our texts, and our classroom. We need a carpet to climb the mountain to college during Paragon, to read during ELA, and to become mathletes and scientists. It makes sense for 7 and 8 year olds to learn through movement, and our kidney table and carpet will help our learning environment come to life.
Help create a lasting impact on our classroom by cultivating the ideal learning environment for our 2nd grade students.
We need your help to add these two key pieces to our transformational learning space.
