My Students

All morning long, students are engaged in various reading activities. The classroom I am moving into has no organizational shelving, and I need storage to hold various groupings of books throughout the room.

My school is referred to as "The Little United Nations" because students come from all over the world to this international public school.

Students are highly motivated to read and need a large library to choose from. I simply need the storage to provide an organized classroom space for these wonderful learners.

My Project

My students need organizational shelving, 2 bookcases and 12 plastic containers for the literacy block. Students will use the shelving to access different book collections throughout the literacy block. It would be ideal in various areas such as: a "reading nook", a teacher-led reading center, and an independent reading center. Students will be able to easily see different book collections and find things that are motivating.

This project will definitely help me give my new classroom a coherent and organized feel.

It will welcome students by showing how important a classroom library is. The shelving will hold many beautiful books.
