My Students

My Elementary Newspaper Staff is excited to offer a new student extra-curricular.

Last year, several students expressed interest in creating a school newspaper. This year Newspaper Staff will aim to foster 4th, 5th, and 6th grade student journalists!

My Project

As a member of the staff, students will write, edit, publish, and distribute important news stories that highlight all the wonderful things that are happening at Heritage. These fantastic journalists need a camera to visually document their stories. Students will be able to capture photographs to compliment the stories that they write for the newspaper. This will be a student led newspaper and a camera will help them take ownership and responsibility. Using a digital camera, students will be exposed to a new type of technology that most do not use in school.

As an after-school, student-led, new club, we need resources!

Right now, the students do not have access to a camera for the school newspaper. Please help this student inspired club succeed!
