The mind of a child is full of wonder and imagination! Yet as the years progress, creativity and innovation seem to be a thing of the past. It is time for my students to be given an environment where they can dream big and build realities!
My students learn in a diverse and thriving environment.
In my class over 10 languages are spoken! Having students from all over the world creates a cultured environment that is both accepting and nurturing. In my class, we not only strive for academic success, but also to create global citizens who can create positive changes in the world.
My Project
Little Bits will be used collaboratively amongst the entire third grade team. In third grade students learn all about the history of Chicago as part of their social studies curriculum. Every year my students recreate the famous Chicago World's Fair, but with a modern twist!
Every year teachers, families, and students are blown away by the creative work that our third graders present. Just by using everyday materials, students create wonderful exhibits that showcase their knowledge and ideas. Now imagine a year where students can combine their everyday materials with electronic technology to create innovative exhibits that will make their dreams a reality. This is what I aspire to achieve with the help of Little Bits!
This donation will allow me to ensure that the creative minds of my nine-year olds' do not go to waste!
Having Little Bits will inspire my students to not just dream of ideas but actually create them. The skills my students will gain during this project are not just skills needed to succeed in third grade, but they are skills that will create a successful future!
