I teach a wide variety of students including general education individuals, former English Language Learners, and students with required learning modifications.
They all strive to achieve their best and are motivated to learn.
College and career readiness is the new direction for K-12 education. My students know how to use the technology socially. I flipped my classroom so they can use these skills academically.
My school uses Google Apps For Education. All 1900 students in my school have a free Google account which allows them to have the tools to manage their Digital Footprint.
My Project
My students will learn the POWER OF GOOD... ON LINE: They have the power to do incredible things online. From complimenting a friend to starting a movement to drive positive change, the possibilities to do good are endless. My student manage and control their Digital Footprint.
Headsets and portable scanners will allow my students create iMovies to add to their ePortfolios and upload school work they are proud of. An ePortfolio is an electronic journal where one collects evidence of their learning.
The good thing about ePortfolios is that they help students reflect about their own learning while managing their DIGITAL FOOTPRINT.
Your digital footprint includes more than what you post online, it also includes how you interact with others.
I ask my tween students....Before you post, share, or comment, ask yourself- Is this something you okay with friends, family, teachers, or potential colleges and employers see.
My students lives will change for the better by being informed and making good decisions online.
College and career readiness requires both knowledge and skills. My students actively create a digital presence that is positive. They will become googleable in a positive way when applying for colleges and jobs.
