My students need several nonfiction books to improve literacy, hands-on centers to improve their measurement skills, and activities, like the Self-Checking Fractions Match-Ups, that they can do independently in math.
My students are fired up about learning! They are interested in everything from homophones to fractions. Everyday, they come to school ready to learn something new!
I have a wonderful group of 2nd grade GT students.
We are a self-contained class. Our school consists of students from different backgrounds, cultures, etc. They all learn differently and are very excited about coming to our school to learn new things.
My Project
Since I teach all subjects, I am constantly looking for ways to shake things up in the classroom. I look for new approaches to teaching my classroom lessons so my students don't become bored. These various hands-on resources will captivate my students imagination and will make them even more eager to learn. In years past, I have seen a need for a more hands-on approach to teaching the various forms of measurement. I have also seen that students need access to more nonfiction books, and they need activities that they can do quietly at their tables in which they can check themselves while I work with small groups.
By donating to my project, you will be helping me enrich the learning of my very bright students.
These are fun, hands-on materials that they will love to use in class, and I will be able to use them for my classes in the future.
