Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of my students are still struggling with basic letter/sound recognition and number recognition.
My school is located in a low-income neighborhood and a large percentage of our students are at-risk students.
A typical student comes to school eager to leave all the outside negative factors behind them and learn. I want to provide as many resources as I can to help them achieve this goal.
My Project
I am a Kindergarten teacher so I am requesting materials that will improve phonemic awareness and number recognition from 1-30. These activities will provide some center activities that the kids can work on and enable me to provide some individualized interventions to my struggling students.
These materials will allow us to make strides at an early age to help our children be successful.
We believe all students can learn and these activities are colorful and engaging and I feel the children will want to learn. Our students deserve to have a chance to be successful.
