My Students

Imagine having something to say but not having the verbal communication skills to say it. This challenge faces many of my students on a day to day basis, but you can help.

My students are excellent children.

They are always smiling and happy to be at school where they get to learn. My students are between the ages of 3-5 and all have many different abilities. In my preschool special education classroom, our students are working on building social skills, working on communication with peers and adults, and being independent, as well as learning those academic skills other children learn at their age.

My Project

Receiving a second iPad for my classroom would help tremendously because that means that more students can use the technology at the same time. Every student can benefit from using the iPad as a means of communication, to learn handwriting skills, and by keeping them engaged in other academic activities.

The iPad would make such a difference in my students lives because they could use it to produce the words they cannot produce themselves while learning this vocabulary and practicing the verbalization with it at the same time.

It will also increase their fine motor skills and assist them in learning other academic skills by keeping them engaged in activities that would otherwise not be as interesting to them without the technology. Thank you for your support and help with our project!
