My Students

In our project based inquiry classroom, access to rich multiple media sources is critical for researching and gathering information as well as preparing documents, reports and presentations. Mini iPads can help us meet this need.

Our classroom is made up of 30 amazing, curious, thoughtful critical thinkers who are eager to learn.

Students in our class have come from down the street and as far away as Peru. Our classroom has seven different languages. Our students range from those labeled gifted and those who have special needs. Our school has limited/outdated technology available to students who could all benefit from greater access to technology resources.

My Project

Teaching and learning through a project based inquiry approach requires access to media as students research, locate information, seek answers to questions, navigate through informational text and create creative responses to their learning. Students will use mini iPads in all content areas to enhance learning.

John Dewey says that education begins with the curiosity of the learner.

Funding this project will allow for greater student engagement and allow students to find what inspires them to become life long learners.
