My Students

Have you ever had to sit in a cold, hard desk with a plain white piece of paper and a dull, yellow pencil racking your brain on a math problem that you didn't quite understand? Not much fun! Help me liven my students up with some exciting, interactive games to capture their attention and learn fun math!

My students are smart, eager and hungry for learning!

They are motivated by success and thrive on encouragement. My students attend a Title 1 school with at least a 80% free lunch rate. They are from low socioeconomic homes where parental involvement is little to none. My students are beautiful and special and deserve the fun of learning achieved in more affluent school districts. Please help these second graders from Mississippi have the same opportunity as their neighbors.

My Project

What an amazing difference it would be for my students to be able to learn mighty math power by colorful, vibrant, interactive activities rather than an old, tattered textbook! These interactive computer games will make a huge impact on the learning of these Mississippi second graders and the future classes for many years to come. They will be able to look back on their second grade year and remember the fun of learning the basic math skills. Having a strong foundation in math will increase their future accomplishments, and encourage a few extra students to attend college.

Your donation will impact the learning of my current second graders and also the learning for many future second graders to come.
