My Students

I teach in a small Arizona town.

My school has a history of academic excellence and high expectations for student achievement. My third grade students come from diverse social and economic backgrounds. They are ambitious learners and enthusiastic problem solvers.

My Project

My students will utilize the flashcards independently and in small groups or partnerships to work on committing their math facts to memory. This is an important step towards becoming capable mathematicians. They will use the problem solving activities to work on developing their mathematical reasoning abilities and critical thinking skills.

I truly believe that these materials will provide my students with valuable opportunities to develop their mathematical reasoning and problem solving capabilities. This, in turn, supports one of the most important goals of education-equipping children to grow up to become successful and responsible adults.
