My students need colored cardstock to have printed pattern sticks to review multiplication facts. We also need books like Chasing Vermeer and Earth Day Hooray! These books will help with math.

My Students

I just finished teaching second grade, and next year I will do fourth grade for the first time. In my classroom you will be able to hear Spanish and English. I think one of my strengths is to make each student feel I care about them. My students are praised for their efforts.

I work at a Title I school where a lot of students come from families with limited resources.

Parents are not always able to donate supplies to the classroom, so it helps me tremendously to have other donors help with the materials I need. There are also a lot of English language learners in our school, and since I can speak Spanish, I have a good mix in my class of different cultures.

My Project

I just finished an inspirational math training. I want to have simple math tools that students can use daily to acquire math fluency. These tools require cardstock and colored paper to copy them on. With the cardstock, students will make pattern sticks attached to a binder ring for each of the multiplication tables.

This ring will be in their tool kit at all times and I have learned quick reviews and games we can do anytime.

Thanks to these pattern sticks, students will master or review multiplication facts quickly.
