Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Each morning I wake up excited to come and teach the students in my classroom. Each and every student in my classroom deserves to have the very best education possible.
"In learning you will teach and in teaching you will learn"
My class has 17 exciting and energetic first graders in it.
They are all very loving, active, and excited to learn each day. My school is an inner city school. Although the students in my class may not have everything in the world, what they do have are the biggest hearts I've every seen for such young children. They are very giving and loving of each other and of course, their teacher.
My Project
My students need 12 student clocks, plastic money, two sets of Unifix Cubes, and counters. Each day we start math with our math wall. The math wall has seven different math skills that we practice daily. Including time, money, addition, subtraction, calendar, counting, decimals with hundreds/tens/ones, and a word problem. These materials will help each student to be able to work with these skills independently at their desks. This will allow them a hands-on approach to their learning in the classroom.
These donations will help my students to work more effectively with their math skills every day, by allowing each student have a hands-on approach to learning.
This will help each of my students to master math skills required for a promotion to second grade.
