I teach 4th and 5th grade looping. This means that my 4th grade homeroom stays with me all day, and I teach all subject areas on the 4th grade curriculum. Then, as they enter the 5th grade, they are still my homeroom kids and stay with me all day as I teach from the 5th grade curriculum. This is a wonderful situation because I become familiar with parents, family situations, and with each individual child's learning needs.

My students need CALCULATORS!! We do an amazing amount of work and I enjoy exposing students to as much "real" life as possible during my two years with them. My students work in groups, collaborate to complete projects, and are pushed to excel in every area. Calculators would be a wonderful asset to my classroom. This one time purchase would be used for the same students for two complete years. Also, they would be available for the many students I will come in contact with in the future.

I need 32 classroom calculators for my students. We will use these calculators to learn real life application skills as well as perform science experiments and math explorations.

Your help will ensure that my students are better prepared for their future. They are our future leaders and need all the help they can get to become successful members of our society. These calculators will be a great asset and help these students become successful learners and community members.
