This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you don't stop." -Confucius
I teach 4th grade at a Title I school in Madison, WI.
Our school serves 320 students with almost 80 percent of them coming from low income backgrounds. As an educator, I am dedicated to the success of my scholars and do my best to make them community, college, and career ready. My classroom this year has 18 bright, loving, silly, and eager minds that count on me to prepare them for their future, and I need your help!
My Project
My students come to school excited and ready to learn. It is my job to bring this learning to life for them and make everything they learn in 4th grade accessible and engaging for each of them. I am asking for funding to provide write & erase number line charts, hands-on fraction manipulatives, and reading comprehension games. These tools will allow children another avenue to engage and learn skills that will be necessary and vital in their future success.
This project will help me on my journey to educate all of my students.
I am asking for tools that will make some of my 4th graders' hardest learning easier to grasp. Help me add another strong piece in the foundation of our children this year and in years to come.
