Mrs. Champagne from Erath LA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.

Living in the iPad Generation!

My students need an iPad, case and VGA adapter for our classroom. I know we can use many apps to help students individually, as well as in whole class settings!

My Students

Steve Jobs stated, It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world - it's going to be a game changer. As a teacher, I could not agree more with that. iPads can set a different tone for technology in the classroom in a wonderful way. Whether connected to a projector, interactive white board or used in centers, I know my students would benefit from a classroom iPad!

I have been in the classroom for more than 16 years now, most of which, are at the Pre K-5th grade school where I now work.

We have over 500 wonderful students at this time and we have awesome parental support in our community. I currently teach all subjects in 1st grade. We are a school that has worked hard to gain technology and hope we can continue move forward with technology integration in our classrooms!

My Project

With the use of a classroom iPad, I know my students could work in an independent iPad center to assist with all subjects. My main focus however, would be on reading and math. I know I could use our school iPad web page to readily find powerful reading and math apps to help with learning, as well as to help lessen gaps in specific subject areas. My agenda would also include combining technology resources for our students that would be productive. With an Apple Dock VGA adapter, I could combine my interactive whiteboard and projector to the iPad that could offer whole class experiences as well.

As Steve Jobs stated about iPad, it is going to be a game changer.

I could use this game changer as an additional technology resource for my 1st graders. Your consideration in offering my class an iPad would be appreciated.
