This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

By the end of the year, I want all my students reading at or above grade level. One way of getting those students engaged and excited about reading is by going to the computer lab.

I have an active, intelligent, and motivated group of first graders.

I have 6 girls and 12 boys. They love discussion and interactive activities. I try to plan my lessons with each style of learning in mind. Some students are auditory, some are visual, etc. I like to incorporate technology into my lessons as much as possible.

My Project

Can you imagine trying to hear what your computer is saying when 18 other ones are talking at you? I would like a class set of headphones to solve this problem. The kids are eager to learn and excited about using the computer lab to help them with reading, math, and spelling! We spend one hour a week on the computers in our computer lab.

With headphones the students will be able to concentrate on only the task on their computer.

They will all benefit greatly from the opportunity to work at their appropriate learning level.
