As a teacher I believe that reading is important. I always tell my students if you can read, you can learn anything about everything and everything about anything. I truly believe my students need to become fluent readers in order to become fluent lifelong learners.
My students are amazing, kind, and outgoing elementary school students who learn in a title one school with my support as a Special Education teacher.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds which is why they need a variety of books to read. My students face many challenges in life and learning to read is one of the many challenges I would like to help them with.
My Project
The PackAble leveled book backpacks will be used to help my students improve their reading comprehension and fluency. Students will be able to take the PackAbles backpacks with leveled books and activities to other classes or even home with them. PackAbles backpacks will provide my students with a variety of leveled differentiated books and activities to meet their learning needs.
