My Students

I teach at a STEM middle school, a program where everything is cross-curricular.

Our classroom is a PBL classroom, where students are presented with real-world research questions to solve and discover their own solutions.

Students direct their own learning and find their own answers. We dance. We rap. We move. We use interactive notebooks. We ARE interactive. Students direct their own learning and find their own answers. Providing them with more resources to do this will only empower them.

My Project

We are the first STEM certified middle school in Georgia and function as a 1:1 iPad program. Our STEM middle school is research-based and research-oriented. These devices will be used to accelerate the learning experience of storytelling through media and making and using film as an academic tool.

Students are inundated with visual media every single day.

Learning how to make a quality film and to convey their message in a visual manner accelerates their learning and makes them more apt to be competitive in the global job market.
