My Students

My classroom is full of 19 energetic and ready to learn first graders. Every student comes in eager to learn new things every day. A day in my classroom includes hands-on activities, lots of questions and motivating students to read!

For most of my students technology and many other learning resources are often only available at school.

Providing these materials in class not only makes learning fun, but teaches the students skills necessary for school success. I try my hardest to provide games, centers, videos, activities and more to ensure student success. I strongly feel these items will only further grow my students' academic success.

My Project

The iPads and Osmo systems will be used in small groups and centers, allowing students to work on important literacy and math concepts in a "game" format. The Osmo system will be used to help teach sight words and spelling words. Some students may not receive additional help at home on these skills. The more I can provide fun ways to teach words the more likely my students will be successful readers. It will also build confidence in their reading.

Your donation will allow students to have more engaging ways to learn math and literacy/reading skills.

The more engaging the activity the better for my students' success. My students will also become stronger critical thinkers and problem solvers by learning through authentic hands-on experiences.
