This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are yearning for technology use in our classroom.

My class is filled with curious 1st graders ready to explore learning possibilities a computer will bring.

There are many learning games and activities we can use to help my students with higher level thinking. We are a Title 1 school which means our students are from a high poverty area. Many of our students are only able to access technology when they come to school.

My Project

With a laptop in our class, my students can access learning activities in all areas. We will be able to use in with our document camera to assist in whole group learning as well. Not only will my students be learning how to use a laptop, they will be able to access resources we do not have on our campus.

Laptops would give my students access to technology full time in the class room, instead of only in our computer lab.

My students will become technology savvy which will help them become more successful in the future.
