My students need 4 chromebooks so that they can cycle through the required websites in the classroom which have become a part of our curriculum.

My Students

Technology has become such a large part of our society. Our Kindergartners are required to work on typing skills, world language, reading and math skills on computer devices during the school day.

My classroom is made up of children from 8 countries from around the globe.

We have many students that speak Spanish and one who speaks Polish. They all have an extreme love of learning and approach new tasks with confidence. They are happy to come to school each day! Our school is a culturally diverse place for our children to grow socially and emotionally from Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

My Project

My student will use these chromebooks to work on typing, foreign language, math and reading skills in the classroom. For many of my students the opportunity to use this type of technology is limited to the classroom due to the fact that their families do not have access to technology in the home. Our society relies so much on technology, I feel it is so important to give our youth the opportunity to explore and learn in a variety of ways. Kindergartners learn best by manipulating materials and problem solving. Having chromebooks in my classroom will give my students the opportunity to learn new concepts in yet another way.

Having the chromebooks is my classroom will improve my students knowledge of technology and how they can learn through using a variety of devices.

My students will be better prepared as they progress through school in knowing how to use different types of technology.
