My students need more basketballs to meet the growing demand. As class sizes increase, we need more basketballs in order to increase student activity during PE class.
We are teaching the students about health and fitness and hope to create lifelong healthy habits. We like to keep them all engaged and moving! However, we do not have the supplies to meet our growing class sizes.

We have a great group of students in a low income area.
There are about 630 students ranging from 1st - 5th grade. They take very good care of the equipment we use, because we do not get to add new equipment very often. The students enjoy PE and enjoying staying active!
My Project
We will use the equipment this winter for a basketball unit. We will use the basketballs to learn skills and the rules of the game. In addition, the students will learn to work cooperatively, try hard and have good sportsmanship. Many of the students do not play sports and this unit will help expose them to basketball and help them to be a part of a team. We need more basketballs in order to increase the number of students that are playing and decrease sitting and waiting.
Donations to this project will improve my PE classes for many years to come.
We are projected to continue growing in enrollment and want to keep up our equipment needs. Some students may become passionate about basketball or other teams sports and all will have an opportunity to learn skills and have fun. Your donation will help us keep kids active and healthy!
