My Students

Some of my students are independent, creative thinkers who want to grow up to be engineers.

I have worked with students for several years now in robotics engineering.

We are in need of updated materials for our competitions. My students naturally want to discover and explore on their own. The excitement I see as I watch them make that discovery is the reason I teach. I see their confidence build throughout the year as they work through the programming of the robots and the designing of their robots to complete tasks successfully.

My Project

Throughout the year, my students will work together in teams to design, program, and create robots that will complete specific tasks. They will learn the importance of working together as a team in order to be successful. This exploration is student driven. They will be using their own skills and creativity to accomplish their tasks. Their success of this task will be evident when they compete in a robotics competition at the end of the year.

Bruce Dickinson said, "Engineering stimulates the mind.

Kids get bored easily. They have got to get out and get their hands dirty: make things, dismantle things, fix things. When the schools can offer that, you'll have an engineer for life." I want to offer that to my students.
