Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I personally know how important it is to have a strong physical education program in the schools, I used to be obese. Video Games are the language of students today. Let's introduce the students to the healthy side of gaming in the schools, so they can go home and get fit with their families.

I currently run a Presidential Fitness Program with the after school program and 100 2nd grade students at my school exclusively using Just Dance to fight childhood obesity. I would love to expand the Presidential Fitness Program to be a school wide program and pilot an Intramural Just Dance lunch Program, but we need more equipment to make this a reality.
If Donorschoose.org project gets filled, I'll be sharing this Exergaming equipment with the whole school. The Presidential Fitness Program can then be enjoyed by all 680 students to fight childhood obesity.

I'll be creating a schedule and check out system for the Exergaming equipment, so grade levels can use it daily in their physical education program and meet the guidelines of the Presidential Fitness Program. On top of this well be piloting an Intramural Just Dance lunch recess program that will coincide with our current after school program.
