Ms. Turner from Dallas TX is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need grade level appropriate books to improve and promote literacy, as well as an easel and dry erase markers to make learning more interactive.

By the end of the school year I would love to see all my students excel both academically and socially. Our major challenge as a class includes not having a grade leveled library filled with books that captivate and promote learning.
My students are very active children from a low income and high poverty area.
They are very curious about their surrounding community and anxious to learn. Many of my students come from broken homes and find it difficult to interact with others. I find that my school provides them with the discipline and order they need to flourish in society.
The items I am requesting will bring life to my classroom. The books will take my students on a captivating journey accompanied by words and pictures. At the close of our reading journey, we are then able to relive our trip by sharing our ideas on the easel.
Donations from this project will offer appropriate and interactive learning for my students.
By having a grade level library students will be more likely to pick up a book and twice as likely to learn to read at a earlier age. The easel offers each student a chance to view different ideas as well as improve handwriting.
