Technology, technology, technology! Our students are exposed daily at home and at school. Obviously, technology should be a component of every classroom today. With money not always available in school systems however, obstacles occur. Our class wish list includes an iPad and accessories!
The town where I teach is a close knit community and we have great students, teachers and parents here!
Our Pre K-5th grade school is one of two feeder schools in the community. Our school has approximately 550 students. I teach Kindergarten students. With the new Common Core implemented, our teachers and students are all trying our best to move forward and do what is best for our children. We are fortunate to have hard working students who enjoy learning.
My Project
I am a teacher who enjoys using technology in my classroom. However for obvious reasons, additional technology money is not always in the budget of school systems. With an iPad, my students could engage in rich technology lessons. The Internet offers a variety of free online apps for our students. I know having a new iPad would help them continue to participate in productive and effective lessons to assist with the alignment of Common Core in our district.
With something as critical as technology in classrooms now, we need help in gaining an iPad for our student based centers and whole classroom instruction.
