Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are seeking 6 iPads for our literacy program. The iPads will be used to facilitate flipped classroom teaching which will help parents review concepts taught in the class. Children will use educational apps during literacy block to reinforce fluency and sight word recognition.

Our Charter School is a progressive school serving children in grades K-12.

Our classroom supports diverse learners with a wide range of abilities and talents. The children come from socio-economic and culturally diverse backgrounds. Within our classroom academics as well as social growth is equally valued and supported.

My Project

The iPads will be used to facilitate flipped classroom teaching (enhancing parent/school connection) and innovative student projects. The goal of incorporating more technology within the classroom is to help all students with developing reading/language skills learn to read at grade level and increase their fluency, comprehension, and reading attention span.

Our class has children with diverse needs and learning styles.

The iPads will reach a wide range of learners and foster a love of reading. It will help children develop their literacy skills and create life-long readers.
