Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a class developed for students who will be able to go to college with the support of our class. These students have the academic capability, having at least one Pre-AP class, but need support in succeeding with projects due in their other classes.
My students are excited about school and come to class looking for new ideas and ways to succeed.
They have so much to offer and cannot wait to show others how much they have grown in their academic and personal lives. We use AVID strategies to work through our studies and get our projects completed using as much technology as we can. This is why we need these tablets so much!
My Project
These Apple iPad minis and accessories will be used to help students research and investigate information for projects and other tasks they have in school. Our computer lab is not available most times, especially since we are not a core class. We need access to technology and these tablets being protected and working will surely be a gift to my students!
My classroom will now be a one-stop shop that ensures my students have the resources they need to succeed.
We will have paper, pencils, and technology! Without these iPads and accessories, it really will be hard for my students to do the kind of research and projects that they are required to do.
