My students need an iPad mini to access vocabulary, phonics skills, and basic math skills to propel them forward!

My Students

My students are excited by the use of technology and it helps them master content quickly! They would soar in math and literacy if they had access to technology to engage them in phonics, vocabulary, and basic math skills.

My students are not expected to achieve at high levels simply because of the zip code they reside in.

They fight negative stereotypes about their ability to succeed on a a daily basis and are often times faced with the hurdle of less resources due to lack of funding. They deserve Ipads to help them access important phonics skills and reading skills in a fun and exciting way! By using these Ipads, they will be prepared to read in Pre-Kindergarten and can compete with their peers from high-income schools. They will get a strong foundation in literacy and in math and have the ability to connect with technology.

My Project

My students will use various applications available through Apple and the Ipads to increase their vocabulary, knowledge of sight words and decoding words, and understanding of basic math facts. There will be dedicated "center time" to allowing students an opportunity to play on the engaging technology in order to work on an individualized skill they are struggling with.

This project will make a huge difference in my classroom because students will be able to apply their existing knowledge in different ways and acquire new skills and knowledge to make sure they are Kinder ready!
