My Students

A classroom without working computers?! Yes, that would be my classroom. My students do not have working computers to assist in their learning.

My first graders attend a Title I school in Oregon.

Our classroom is made up of 28 diverse students. In our classroom alone, there are 6 languages spoken. Not only are there diverse language needs within my classroom, but each student has distinct learning needs.

My Project

I am requesting 5 iPad minis, with cases and headphones to differentiate math, reading, and language learning for my students. Students will use the iPads during Center Time. It is at this time that students rotate through centers that are differentiated to their learning needs. The iPads would provide a tool for listening to and recording stories, as well as practicing math skills at each student's learning ability.

This project will provide my 28 students with the technology resources they need, in order to be College and Career Ready Oregonians.

We currently do not have any working student computers in our classroom.
