Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you recall being in first grade without knowing anything about computers or technology equipment? Sadly, my students have limited access to the latest technical devices.
I teach an incredible group of first graders who love coming to school each day.
They are so eager to get their hands on any and everything offered to them on a daily basis. They live in a high poverty neighborhood, and most of them qualify and receive free lunch. Nonetheless, this does not prevent them from wanting to absorb new lessons and skills presented to them.
My Project
With the iPad, my students will be able to have access to the latest technology. It will provide them opportunity to emerge to fluent readers, assist them with story comprehension, and better prepare them for the second grade. The covers will protect the device as they manipulate the iPad. And, with the AV and USB Cable, I will connect to computer for exposure to more technical experiences. It will allow them the resources they would otherwise not have or have had.

My students, as each child does, deserve every chance at modern technology with no limits to enhance learning. You will make learning fun and exciting for these children that have had very few chances of manipulating such resources or devices.
