This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Please help! Our classroom computers are so ancient, big, and bulky. How can I possibly expect my students to master certain computer skills if our equipment is so out dated.

My fourth grade class has a variety of students, 80% of whom are second language learners.

They are wonderful and hard working students, always eager to learn new things, and have a thirst for knowledge. The iPad2 will help foster that knowledge by communicating the skills required to improve their Reading, Math, and computer skills.

My Project

My students will benefit from all the learning applications that an iPad2 has to offer. Students will be able to practice their reading, math, and research skills via the Internet. Also read electronic books, watch educational videos as well as learn how to type. Since I am requesting one iPad at a time, I plan to develop a rotational schedule where each student will have the opportunity to use the iPad once a day.

Having an iPad2, with a protective cover, in the classroom will make a huge impact on my students lives.

It will help them improve their reading, math, and computer skills. Skills that they will definitely need for a successful future.
