My students need one more Ipad. We currently have three in the classroom but could really use one more. They also need headphones so they can listen without disrupting.

My Students

My kindergarteners are excited to learn and explore! They are eager to learn new things. What they hate doing is waiting!

My students are funny, bright and inquisitive.

The want to excel at learning and at everything else too (sliding down the slide the fastest is a top priority). Our school is extremely rural. No matter which road you use to get to school, you must pass several farms. Many of our families raise their own chickens. We are a very self-sufficient community.

My Project

Students will use iPads at their centers. There will be a group of 4 students. I have the iPads locked on the specific program I want them using. The programs I use are letter and number recognition, counting, putting sounds together and reading. Students will also use the iPads at Writing. Students with iPads work directly with an adult at this time. They write a story, take photos and add them to their stories and then print. I laminate these and they become a very loved part of our classroom library.

My students will be able to each use an iPad at centers rather than waiting for a turn.

This makes great use of their time. They will also be able to publish stories more often and show their loved ones how much their writing has changed and developed.
