This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are go-getters. They walk in with a smile on their face and are willing and ready to learn. Despite any challenges they may face in the real world, in my classroom they are hard workers. I couldn't be more proud of them.

The majority of my students are economically disadvantaged and bilingual.

They face challenges other students don't face and yet are still willing to put in the extra effort to come out on top. My students are my inspiration to do better, to teach better, and my reason for finding innovative ways for them to learn.

My Project

The Osmo game system is Time's best inventions of 2014. The games Osmo provides allows for students to learn social skills and practice creative thinking - a skill highly needed in any educational setting. The Osmo academy provides several lesson plans from phonics to handwriting that can help enhance the way my students learn in the classroom. This is a unique method for teaching my students. Students will be excited to learn.

This project will bring in unique technology into the classroom while simultaneously enhancing their learning.

My students will be drawn to this game system while building on much needed skills in the classroom. It is a win-win situation!
